- # SKATERS – 19
- GAME #1 – RED 5 WHITE 2
- CHOIR PRACTICE 15
We are almost half way through the playoff segment. Had to make an adjustment for goalies last week. Had the names reversed. It means LUKE BOWLES gets a bump up in the standings. (I can only record what’s on the sheet – remember to mark your number on the sheet when you draw).
Despite what looked like a lopsided draw we stuck to playoff rules – NO TRADES – and played virtually the whole ice time to finish the only game of the night. There is a chance that the score got mixed up half way through – recorded as 3-3 when it was actually 4-2 RED. Prolonged things a bit but there wasn’t enough time left to get in a game anyway. Another strong performance by BRENT LLOYD against a steady offensive pressure. Just have to get your own defence to stop scoring on you Brent!
PLAYOFF SEGMENT: DAVE BOONE (16 pts ) followed by five players within 5 points
OVERALL SEGMENT: First Place COLIN MACLELLAN (90pts) Second Place REAL PHANEUF (83 pts)
Another good turnout at Choir Practice with 15 players making the trek. And a bonus appearance from PETER MYERS who is making a great recovery from partial hip replacement surgery in September. Looking like a September return could be in the cards. Ditto for GERRY LEBLANC who has gotten a clean bill of health to return in September.
Remember last ice time is April 7th – only five ice times left. Early plans are for a late-April season ender bender at Gerry’s ManCave – a followup to last year’s successful event.
Until Monday…
