middle-of-the-pack

  • Standings in both pools show each player’s rank – like a golf tournament.
  • With over thirty players there are often ties in the standings.
  • We count the number of “distinct” rankings to determine who wins the middle of the pack.
  • This is done by dividing the number of distinct rankings by two. If the answer is a fraction we round up.
  • Example:  with 12 distinct rankings the prize goes to the 6th ranking – with 13 it would go to the 7th ranking.
  • Tiebreaker rules apply
