Mar 31/14 – Game #8 Playoffs

# SKATERS – 19
GAME #1 – RED 5 WHITE  4
GAME #2 – WHITE RED 3
CHOIR PRACTICE 12

For those who are paying attention I missed posting last week’s summary – only had 16 skaters for the second week in a row. This week was a noticeably better pace with 19 skaters. RED ended up taking Game #1  by a 5-4 count. The stub ice ended 3-3 with a disallowed goal each – never saw either from my seat on the bench but it ended up a wash anyway.

Nice to see DEAN IANNACONE back on the ice with that new titanium insert working fine. Glad to see you skating again buddy. It’s been more than a few ice times and you always elevate the game.

We wind our way to the end of another season, with our last ice time coming up next week. It’s spring –  when a guy’s thoughts turn to playoff hockey and watching another Maple Leafs spiral down the bowl. Which means golf is right around the corner….

I have received pricing on Titleist golf ball lineup featuring our popular 4-colour Choirboys logo. Look in your inbox this week for details. As always even if you only buy a dozen balls it helps the club get to the 48 dozen pricing threshhold.

PLAYOFF SEGMENT: Our leader is LUKE BOWLES (32) who has a commanding 7 point lead with one ice time to go. Playing strong nets and flashing the leather more than once.

OVERALL SEGMENT: First Place COLIN MACLELLAN (101 pts) Second Place REAL PHANEUF (94 pts) Third Place PAUL LEBLANC (87 pts) Looks to be Colin’s to lose – Bonus Ball performance will be critical.

CHOIR PRACTICE: We had 12 players at the bar. With a week to go the pub tried out their new “Glutton Free Wings” on us. No early medical reports but they tasted OK!   Next week is our last ice time of the 2013-2014 season. Come on out and send it off in style. Looking to finalize plans for our Season Ender Bender. See you next week.

Until Monday…
